Most guitar players don’t quit because they lack passion.

They quit because they’re frustrated.

They’ve spent years collecting pieces of information—chords, scales, songs, licks, YouTube videos, and theory concepts—but nobody ever showed them how those pieces fit together.

That’s the problem I’ve spent my career solving.

 

My name is Drew Bentley. I’ve been playing guitar since I was nine years old and teaching professionally for more than 28 years. During that time, I’ve worked with thousands of guitar players ranging from complete beginners to advanced musicians.

After decades of teaching one-on-one lessons, I noticed something surprising.

Most guitar players struggle with the same thing.

They don’t need more information.

They need a map.

A way to see how chords, scales, arpeggios, rhythm, lead guitar, and music theory connect into one practical system.

That’s why I created The Drew Bentley Method.

 

At the heart of everything I teach is a simple idea:

Music becomes easier when you understand how chords, scales, and arpeggios connect across the fretboard.

When that connection becomes clear, everything changes.

You stop memorizing random shapes.

You stop feeling trapped in one position.

You stop wondering what to play next.

You begin to see the guitar neck as a connected musical landscape.

For nearly three decades I’ve earned my living doing what I love: teaching, performing, recording, and helping musicians reach goals they once thought were out of reach.

I’ve performed with countless bands, recorded multiple albums, operated successful music schools, taught college-level guitar, and helped thousands of students make real progress.

But the achievement I’m most proud of isn’t a performance, an album, or an award.

It’s hearing a student say:

“For the first time, the guitar finally makes sense.”

Today my mission is simple:

To help guitar players all over the world stop feeling stuck and finally understand the instrument in a practical, musical way.
